The soft annealing temperature for brass flat bar is between between 425°C and 650°C. Heated to the correct temperature will help the bar to be shaped. Not all brass flat bar will bend with ease due to the composition of the added lead and the zinc. The brass thickness also plays a factor. Brass with a 1/8" thickness will bend easier than brass 1".
