Hanging Z Section
Aluminium hanging Z section is also known as 'board hook zed'. It is a specially formed aluminium moulding used to securely mount or hang pictures, frames or artwork for a long-lasting fixture.
It's designed to work in pairs as the two zeds slot together nicely. However, depending on the size of your artwork, you can simply order one length and then cut it down, to give you two pieces.
How to mount a picture with a hanging z section?
One hanging z section should be securely fixed to a flat surface such as a wall. This surface should be one that has been pre-determined to hold the weight of the fixture.
The other hanging z section is then attached to the item you wish to hang. So long as you fix the second hanging z to the centre of the item you're hanging, as both zeds are paired and slotted together, the fixing will hold and be extremely secure.
The benefit of mounting using aluminium oppose to other picture hanging fixtures, is that these aluminium z sections are light and easy to work with, yet exceptionally strong and robust. The weight of the fixture will be evenly distributed across the length of the section. We can supply each hanging Z section in up to 4 meters in length.
